Blue Ox #1 WoodbineBOPD = Barrels of oil per day; MCF = Thousand cubic feet of natural gas also the standard unit for gas sales; MCFPD = Thousand cubic feet of natural gas per day . Glossary. Paul Bunyan Drilling Program and Wells 4/04/07 Still waiting for frac recommendation 3/23/07 A frac will be required for this well. We are now waiting for a frac recommendation from the fraccing company. 3/16/07 Operations have begun. Will perforate the casing in the Midcox zone sometime today and should know more sometime next week. 1/30/2007 The Blue Ox Woodbine was perforated and a pre-frac test was performed. Production tailed off quickly and ceased to feed fluid or gas into the wellbore. Our engineers tell us fracture stimulation will not create commercial levels of production. Fortunately, commercial levels of hydrocarbons and porosity were present on the evaluation logs in the higher Wilcox and Mid-Cox zones. While drilling through this section we were required to overcome 8,700 psi of formation pressure by increasing the mud weight. Based on the strength of the logs we will rapidly re-complete in the Mid-Cox formation of the Blue Ox. 1/19/2007 Well perforated. Waiting for frac. 1/12/2007 Perforations scheduled for tomorrow. Frac date moved to 1/27/2007. 1/04/2007 Pre frac production test is scheduled for this week. Fracture treatment is scheduled between January 10 and January 12. Pipeline is expected to be completed within next 3 to 4 weeks. 12/20/2006 Production test scheduled between Christmas and end of the year. 10/17/2006 Well is shut in until the completion of the Blue Ox AC 9/26/2006 The Schlumberger well log showed similar upper Woodbine sands in the Blue Ox #1 as is present in the Timberwolf Woodbine. The two wells have similar values in resistivities and porosities and the logs show hydrocarbons are present. The Blue Ox was drilled with a heavier drilling mud than the Timberwolf and less “shows” were experienced. Because of the lesser level of shows while drilling, we ran a drillstrem test over the weekend (9/23 and 9/24) to validate the productivity of the Blue Ox well. The drillstem test gave us positive results...confirming a productive formation pressure—meaning we have a commercially viable well. The Blue Ox will be completed in the upper Woodbine zone. The same drilling rig will be moved over to drill the Blue Ox Austin Chalk, after completing the Woodbine Another productive zone—the lower Wilcox sands was encountered during drilling. This zone sometimes referred to as the Midcox will be held as a potential backup to the Blue Ox Austin Chalk zone and/or supplement the Woodbine as primary formation pressures decline. 9/21/2006 The bottom hole temperature was too hot to use traditional logging tools. Scheduled to re-log with Schlumberger's "hot-hole tools" Friday night. 9/19/2006 Drilling at 16,312'. Expect to reach TD (total depth) tomorrow morning and log the well the following night. 9/15/2006 Drilling at 14,615'. Now drilling in the Woodvine formation. 9/06/2006 9 5/8 Production casing has been set. Drilling at 14,015' 8/30/2006 Drilling at 11,700' 8/22/2006 Drilling at 5,652' 8/14/2006 Drilling operations resumed. 7/31/2006 Expecting to resume drilling operations on the well by late Monday (8/14/2006) or early Tuesday. (Previously this stated 8/07) 5/10/2006 Waiting of completion of Lumberjack Austin Chalk well, after which Unit rig will move to this location to drill this well. 3/29/2006 Well bore initiated and surface casing set.
